Haa to Punakha(7 days)

Itineraries:

Day 1

Fly into Paro by Drukair flight or Bhutan Airlines. After immigration and customs formalities, you will be received by the representative of Soedhar Bhutan Travels. Check into your respective hotel, get some refreshments. Getting everthing settled in the hotel and making a plan for trip.

Day 2

On the second day sight seeing of Paro valley, visiting Paro museum and Paro Dzong. On the same day sight seeing the Drugyel valley and Jhomolhari Mountain and visiting Ruins of Drugyel Dzong which is under construction.

Day 3

From the morning hike, up to the legendary Taktsang Monastary (Tiger’s Nest) with horse riding. The name Taktsang translates to “The Tiger’s Nest”. This temple is one of the most holy sites in the kingdom and clings impossibly to a sheer cliff face 900 hundred meters above the Paro Valley and visit Kichhu Lhakhang and Dumtse Lhakhang located at a few miles from the Paro town.

Day 4

Then in the early morning drive to Haa. The road goes over highest motorable road pass in Bhutan, Chelia La. Explore the Haa valley including Jurney Drak Hermitage and Chungdu Lhakhang before leaving to Thimphu.

Day 5

Sight seeing Thimphu valley, go to weekend Centenary Vegetable market and visiting the statue of Buddha Dordenma in Kuensel Phodrang overlooking Thimphu city, about 100 metres (330 ft) above the Wang Chuu river bed.If you are interested in arts and handicrafts of BHUTAN visit National Textile Museum and National Institute for Zorig Chuzum (13 varieties of arts and crafts).

Day 6

On the second day drive uphill to the Dochula pass from Semtokha. Visiting Chimi Lhakhang the temple of Drukpa Kuenley(Devine Madman). On the way you will see the beautiful chortens when you reach to the summit of the Dochula pass and colorful rhododendron forest above the pass. Sight seeing and visiting Punakha Dzong . Punakha valley is famous in Bhutan for rice farming. Both red and white rice are grown along the river valley of Pho and Mo Chu, two of the most prominent rivers in Bhutan. Drive back to Paro

Day 7

Departure by flight from Paro or via Phuntsholing to India.
